Delicate softness. Even in the rain ☔️
This was my first wedding back and it was a stunning one. I got to second shoot for the lovely Alana Maria Photography and it was gorgeous!
If you know me, you’ll know I’m detailed obsessed. And the one good thing that came from losing my dad was seeing people differently. Seeing my surroundings differently. Seeing a whole new way to photograph. Photographing people, details, emotions and everything with a different mind set. Capturing moments you didn’t even know you needed. As much as I would trade anything to get my dad back(in a world I know that’s impossible). At least I can take this lesson from his lose. It will make me a better photographer, a better person. It’s bittersweet but I’m looking forward to becoming the best version of myself I can be🩷

Something I’ve learned photographing weddings for over 10+ is…
Other photographers aren’t your competitors, we are a family. A unit to unite together.
This job can be extremely lonely but it doesn’t have to be.

My dad passed away 10 days before this wedding.
I was a mess and all I wanted was what’s best for my couples. And I just wasn’t it so close to his death.

So I’m lucky to have amazing photographers who had my back and could step in when I needed most.
This is the first time I’ve never been physically able to be at a wedding in 11 years. But I have a great community behind me who I trust to capture your wedding the way I would.
When booking your photographer it’s so important to know they have a back up plan. Because life can definitely throws some crave balls sometimes.

I haven’t posted on here about my dad.
If you follow my personal page you’ll know I lost my dad on Thursday June 4th💔
It all happened so fast. I couldn’t save him. And I tried so hard. But it was to late.
My heart is shattered.
I’m learning how to pick up the pieces.
He was my best friend and a part of me is missing.
I haven’t been able to post or look through any photos of him yet. It’s still to painful.

I never understood grief. I didn’t understand how delicate life is. He was here and now he’s not.

I’ve been in touch with any of my couples that this may have affected. I’ve had my beautiful friend step in for me and capture your memories while I’ve been grieving. I’m slowly trying to take baby steps back to work.

I would love to give a lecture on how important photos are. BELIEVE ME- I want to scream it from the rooftops but I’ll save that for another day.
