shooting in the forest means you have diffused light to light your subject with, meaning that you can shoot in any time of the day. Diffused light is light that is less harsh. You can also find diffused light in the shade on a clear day, but if you are doing so, you should be careful not to include the sky in your photograph as it will be over exposed.

This photo is a perfect example of framing your subject. By using the braces of this bridge to frame my subject, the valley below the bridge, I guided the viewers eyes toward the subject of the photo. By doing this, I also reduced the harshness of the mid day light, which means that the photo is not as over exposed as it otherwise would have been.

By now, some of you guys might have noticed a pattern in my photos. they all use complementary colours to add an interesting element into the photos. This is one thing I don't see beginners do to often that can easily boost the look of your photos. For me, these colours are orange and teal, and they give the photos a great look. Use adobe's free colour wheel and experiment with different complementary colour combinations and find your combination to boost your photos appearance!

Some good advice for beginner photographers is to learn how to use natural light to light your subject. For this, it is recommended that you shoot on an overcast day or at golden hour, and avoid harsh light at golden hour by shooting your photos in the shade. Using natural light to light your subject means that you don't need to spend money on expensive lighting equipment. This will save you money and save you time setting up the lights.
