Well it's been quite a run at 249 Lakeshore Road East, Suite 2112 in Mississauga...
I have had some good times, some not so good, have met some really talented people, some not, recorded a senior choir made up of people from around the world, some with stories that leave you shocked and crying...
Interviewed some great acts and people, Domenica, Hello Beautiful, Little Sunday, Kate Rogers... and my favourite, Terry Brown!
Had some amazing people in the studio... Brent Moss, Dave Antonacci, Virgil Scott, Smasher, Obed, Nala and Dave, Captain Midnight and guys, Leanna, The Nobodies, Juno Jesu and the guys, Alfie Zappacosta, Skip Prokop, Suzie McNeil, Cal Dodd, Howard Ayee, Paul De Long, Bernie LaBarge (Love yah), and I miss this man huge, Doug Riley a true privilege and honour to have known you and call you my friend RIP Dr. Music!!!!
Sally Zivojinovich and Catherine McCarthy for helping make my first open house a success... aka Subliminal (loved your beat box)... Cathy Young, Shamakah Ali, Phil Michael, John Bride, Chuck Jackson, Terra Hazelton, The Jive Bombers, Stevano Ugo, Blitzkreig, f**k the government (band no personal opinion), Jessica Sheppard...
Thanks to Scott Syme we had a lot of good times with some good people...
Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there that have talent but don't have the fire to work with or on it... it has been mostly a great experience but financially it just doesn't work...
I can record a lot of the recent stuff I have been working on at home which is where I will be operating Ghost Rider Studios out of until it is time to let it go or things pick up and a find a new location... still have Neumann, AKG, Sennheiser mics, focusrite pre amps, stuff that can make one sound that much better, plus the years and years of experience...
I plan to use the money I will be saving to concentrate more on artists development, management, promotion... with TCMS - The Canadian Music Scene, and 416 Records (we are open for submissions) and have some serious A&R people working with us many years with major labels, radio stations, CARAS...
Thanks to those that have shared in GRS's history... I'll keep you posted on the next chapter, for now, GRS on Lakeshore is no more and that chapter has come to an end!
Sincerely, Paul
