What a lovely November day it was photographing these beautiful families for my Christmas minis.

My only complaint is that with 20 minute sessions and little downtime means my visiting always feels like it’s cut short. Big yapper over here haha.

I first met Micheal and Kaelyn when they joined our small group around 8 years ago. They also graciously modelled for me when I first started this photography gig (a fun urban shoot in Kensington). And now I have had the privilege of getting to photograph maternity and newborn sessions for both of their sweet children.

I really love how these job allows me to stay connected with so many people that I cherish.

After Kiana and I had finalized their couple session details, her now fiancé, Alex reached out and told me he wanted to propose to her during the session. I was so giddy and nervous!

We made a plan that I would tell her to look away and he would come from behind and pick her up but instead he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! Getting to be a part of these big moments is an honour I don’t take lightly, so thankful for clients who trust me to document these memories for them 🤍

Unfortunately, I do love

1. Sniffing beeswax candles

2. Saying yeehaw at least four times a day

3. Staying in my pj’s until noon (yay homeschool life)

4. Hoarding children’s books

5. Thrifting unnecessary amounts of bowls, serving plates and mugs

6. Taking 2 hours to drink my morning coffee (thanks to my mug for keeping it warm)

7. Being a passenger princess

8. Asking people excessive questions about themselves

9. When people ask me about my vehicle that’s imported from Japan (but then I remember I know nothing about said vehicle)

10. Naming every wildflower as I walk by it
