Probably should be editing and doing school…. But instead we are making a reel. So show Kase some love on the reel!

The kind of photo I’ll choose every single time. 🤍

Not perfectly posed. Not everyone looking at the camera. Just everyone doing their own little thing and somehow it tells the whole story.

The baby in dad’s arms, a toddler tucked into mom, the dog stopping for a drink.

Nothing complicated. Just what life looked like right then.

These are always the photos I end up loving most.

Hi, my name is Kiera 🌼 and I take photographs.

There are a lot of things I wish I could bottle up — the way your kids fit in your arms, the way someone looks at you when they think no one’s watching, the ordinary days you don’t realize you’ll miss.

So I photograph them instead.

Because someday, a photo might be the closest thing we have to going back. 🤎

Here’s to all my cowgirl brides ✨

It’s keeping your word, feeding people when they come over, wearing the boots anyway, letting the dog ride sh***un and knowing a good life doesn’t have to be a complicated one.

Some things just never go out of style. 🤎

small business has given me a lot more than a job.

it’s given me something that’s mine. something creative. something I’ve built around raising my kids and living a life I actually really like.

some years are busier. some seasons are slower. sometimes I have big ideas and sometimes I’m perfectly happy right where I am.

but 10+ years into this little photography business, I’m really glad I kept showing up for it.

because you really never know what’s around the corner.

so I’ll keep taking the photos, trying the ideas, putting myself out there and seeing where this thing goes 🤎

and maybe that’s the whole point — just don’t take yourself out of the game.

The coziest newborn session from earlier this year with the proudest big sisters I have ever met! If you are planning for in home newborn photos, here are a few things to think about…

1. Don’t worry about having your house clean. I’ll move stuff around, and we will make it work! Typically I only shoot in 1 or maybe 2 rooms in the house.

2. Pick a room for photos (or I can when I arrive) with good light. Big windows and natural light are 😘

3. Neutral colours for clothing. Look, I love colour but there is always lots going on at home and I love more neutral clothes to draw the attention to you, the people in the photo, not your outfits.

Delusional or am I manifesting this goal? I guess we will see. Follow along to help me grow my account!

Your wedding timeline shouldn’t just get you from one thing to the next — it should leave room for the moments you actually want to remember. 🤍

Here are 5 things wedding photographers wish every bride would think about when planning their timeline:

1. Plan your portraits around the best light.
That dreamy, glowy light you see in wedding photos? Timing matters. If possible, give us 10–20 minutes around sunset to sneak away together. You won’t regret it.
2. Give yourself more getting-ready time than you think you need.
Hair runs late. Someone can’t find an earring. Dresses take longer to button than expected. A little breathing room means you can actually enjoy your morning instead of watching the clock.
3. Build in buffer time.
A timeline packed down to the minute looks great on paper — until one thing runs 15 minutes late. A little extra space throughout the day keeps one delay from affecting everything else.
4. Think about what matters most to YOU.
If photos with your grandparents are incredibly important, tell your photographer. If you’d rather spend cocktail hour with your guests than take 75 different family combinations, tell us that too. Your timeline should reflect your priorities.
5. Don’t schedule away the magic.
Some of my favourite photographs happen in the in-between moments — the hug you weren’t expecting, sneaking away together at sunset, your dad seeing you for the first time. Leave enough room in your day to actually experience it.

And brides: involve your photographer BEFORE your timeline is finalized. We know how long photos realistically take, when the light will be best, and how to build a photography timeline that doesn’t make your wedding day feel like one giant photoshoot.

✨ Save this for when you start building your wedding timeline — and send it to a bride who’s in the middle of planning hers.

The best thing you can do before your family photos? Stop worrying about getting your kids to “behave.”

Seriously. You don’t need to spend the drive there reminding them to smile, listen, stand still or please don’t embarrass us. 😂

Here’s what I actually want from you:

Come ready to hang out with your family.

Let your kids be a little wild. Let them explore. Pick them up. Chase them. Tickle them. Snuggle them when they need a minute. If your toddler wants absolutely nothing to do with my camera, that’s completely fine — I’ll work with that.

Some of my favourite photos happen in the moments between the ones we planned.

I’ll guide you when you need it. I’ll make sure we get the everyone-looking-at-the-camera photo for Grandma. But I’m also paying attention to the little things — the way your kid reaches for your hand, the belly laughs, the sibling chaos, the way they fit in your arms right now.

Your job isn’t to make your family look perfect.

Your job is just to be with them.

I’ll take care of the rest.

Thinking it’s time to update your family photos? Send me a DM and let’s get your session on the calendar. 🤍
