After more than 20 years of photographing dancers at Abstract Dance Academy, I've learned that dance is about so much more than perfect technique. It's about passion, confidence, expression, dedication, and joy.
For this year's graduating dancers, we wanted to create something more than a traditional portrait. We wanted to capture the movement, artistry, and spirit that make each dancer unique...to celebrate not only this milestone, but the art form that has been such an important part of their lives.
These images capture them not just as graduates, but as dancers, before they step into their next chapter.
Congratulations, graduates. It has been an honor to watch your journey unfold.

When I get to create memories for people that I have know for a lifetime, it hits different. Watching a baby grow into a young man, and having the opportunity to be a part of that journey, is a blessing. Thank you for letting me be a part of your big day!!!

The cap and gown celebrate where you've been, but the jerseys, skates, sticks, and uniforms celebrate who you've become along the way.

Does anyone I know have access to a Graduation Vee stole from the EDGE school? Or know anyone who has one? I would like to borrow it... buy it, whatever it takes. (For those that dont know, the vee stole is the the material that hangs around your neck with your cap and gown on graduation day)
