We saw !!! At the time I had no idea what we were even looking at but later learned it was a phenomena nicknamed by a group called the Alberta Aurora Chasers and has carried over into the scientific community as a "Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement"

The wildest and most incredible photography adventure I've ever been on. Zak and I randomly decided to head to Moraine Lake to try and get some astrophotography shots of the lake. Little did we know that we would also witness the most insane northern lights I've ever seen AND to top it all off we got to witness a rare phenomena that you'll see in the next post!

Another shot of Mount Robson! There are a ton of smaller hikes around Berg lake with epic views of the lake. Stay multiple nights if you can!!!

This is almost the exact same spot as my last post but facing the opposite direction! Incredible sunrise. This is a 2 minute walk from the tent sites so it's really easy to catch sunrise.

A beautiful morning at Berg Lake in front of Mount Robson the highest point in the Canadian Rockies. Only about 10% of attempts to summit the mountain are successful as it has no easy routes to the summit and bad weather is common.

Cruising into the weekend like... Happy Friday!

On a dark winter morning while trying to hike to Moraine lake we realized we weren't going to make it so we stopped a viewpoint with a decent sunrise view 👌

A short hike just outside Canmore, Alberta brings you to this wonderful scene. Anyone know the hike?

There something awe-inspiring about the power of waterfalls. You can take the same picture two seconds apart and it will be completely different.

This waterfall is MASSIVE. Even being a good distance away I got soaking wet capturing this video. This also reminds me I took some photos of the waterfall I need to edit. BRB

To get the last sunrise shot I posted I spent the night taking a timelapse of the night sky while taking a chilly nap in the car. Better than waking up ultra early to make it to the lake by sunrise IMO. What would you do? # carcamping

This scene is only a 2 minute drive from all the Peyto lake shots I've been posting. If you haven't driven the Icefields Parkway then I highly suggest planning a visit after Covid is over!
