This session really hit home in a different way ..
Why?
This beautiful soul is my daughter💜 and my beautiful grandbaby.

So many emotions while I photographed her.
Realizing that my baby is having her own baby.
Sitting in the blessing of new life and knowing that God is in control has really allowed me take rest and begin walking in excitement.
New life holds the promise new beginnings
New life brings joy like no other
And new life means more room for love.
I cannot wait for this little life to fill our world in a couple short weeks.

I have been a little quiet in here lately making sure I could allow myself some space to heal from my surgery.
It was difficult to pull back, but so necessary and much needed -
I am so grateful and so ready to be stepping back in.

2026 will be filled with more intentional sessions 🤍

This year I am focusing on slow, calm sessions and documenting the fleeting season of motherhood, focusing on all that feels natural and meaningful.

I have now reopened my books and am now booking maternity and newborn sessions.
Accommodating clients from Red Deer, Olds and Central Alberta. Both in studio and in home Lifestyle.

This moment was not planned… we were doing a lifestyle newborn session. Miss G is the big sister and she walked over to the window and was looking outside… I immediately refocused on her… and captured this gorgeous image.
I wonder what was going thru her mind, what was she thinking.
These kind of images truly is what I love- the unplanned, caught in the moment, true to life.
Not to say the other images from this session aren’t gorgeous, they are and I will share some for sure- BUT this definitely needed a special place in my feed for all to see.

One of the last pictures I took of this amazing couple leaves me so excited for what’s next for them. Undoubtably their love story has so much more to be shared.

Knowing a little of their story , seeing how they have already survived so many different seasons has left me truly inspired. Having been married for 23 years and seeing such a gentle and kind love between these two makes me want to want even more of that for my own marriage.
Loved being inspired.

To be a part of days like this, watching a celebrated love that is so gentle, kind and seemingly perfect is definitely an honour.
