How fast time flies! It's been just over a year since my last post here, and there's an intentional reason for that.

After 12 years of having the privilege to capture almost 300 weddings, as well as hundreds of engagement, family, newborn, branding, and grad sessions, I was ready to take a bit of a step back.

I needed some space from all the posting and marketing and the "biz" of things, to get back to the basics of just shooting to shoot. I needed to reconnect to my why.

I wanted to fall back in love with my craft and why I started shooting in the first place.

Taking this time for myself allowed me to quiet the noise and refocus on why I love to capture the beauty and uniqueness of each human connection. Each story that unfolds in front of my lens is unique and deserves to be cherished and treated as such. I wanted to make sure that I was fully embodying that feeling and approach to my work every single time.

So, I took time to shoot for fun, for pleasure, as well as taking on any clients that organically hired me, which led to an absolutely beautiful, spacious and much-needed 2022 season.

While taking a step back from photography, I spent time diligently focusing on my coaching practice, which started in 2018 with other wedding photographers and has now transformed into 1:1 and intimate group coaching for all female entrepreneurs.

As much as I LOVE the coaching, which you can read all about on my website, I also still love picking up my camera and capturing the legacy of love, connection, and memories…because they are the fabric of our lives.

Photography is still such a big beautiful part of my journey and I'm grateful I took the space I needed to refresh my eyes and thus my experience, with my camera.

Moving forward into 2023, I am eagerly looking forward to the beautiful bookings we already have scheduled and those that are yet to come. As l look back at all the incredible moments we have captured over the previous year, I am so excited to share some of my favourite moments with you in the coming months!

I’ve always called pictures the “fabric of life” because it’s proof of life lived and memories made, all woven together for us to come back to as often as we need to relive our precious experiences!!

Wether it’s in front of my camera or someone else’s - or even your iPhone - prioritize capturing the moments of your life in a way that allows you to come back and enjoy then over and over again!!
