Just finished editing my first gallery of the year. Though I typically don't do a lot of shoots this time of year, as my wedding and family sessions usually take place over the summer & fall, I am always open to working with my clients and their needs.

I can't wait to share the reason behind this shoot, though at this time I have to keep it to myself, here are some of my bonus photos from that day. I just can't help myself when I have a camera in my hand and had to take some photos of these cuties.

Hear me out ✋🏻 Let your children grow up with the same photographer. 👇🏻

This is something I preach often! This isn’t a gimmick to get you to book me, this post isn’t even about booking ME! Choose a photographer whose style you love, whose work you love, but also whose personality you love, who makes you feel at ease, and return to them each year!

It won’t always start out with your children being comfortable with them, most of the time it won’t feel comfortable for them at all for the first couple sessions! But if you return to them each time you need photos, your children will get used to them, get comfortable with them, maybe even hold their hand and tell them ALL the stories about school, how they got that scrape on their knee, what their brother said yesterday.. You’ll get to know them, they’ll get to know you, and your sessions will feel like a fun meet up with a friend! And as a result, your photos will show that your family is in the company of a good friend and not just a stranger with a camera.

I have families that I work with every year, my heart fills up when their kids run to greet and hug me, call me by name, run to see their photos on my camera, even hop in my car with me to drive to the next photo spot!

If you are one of those families, thank you! Thanks for trusting me year after year and letting me get to know and love your babies! It’s so special to me to watch your children grow in front of my camera! 🤍

I recently had the opportunity to be the paparazzi at a special young ladies birthday party. I absolutely love to do candid's, so this was a very fun day for me.

Funny enough, this little lady knew why I was there. If I did not pay attention to her, she made sure to get my attention and let me know I should be taking advantage of the photo opps she was providing.

I recently had the opportunity to do a newborn photoshoot and I am so pleased with how the photos turned out. But with respect for the babies father, I unfortunately cannot share them on social media and show you how beautiful they are. Though mom did give me permission to share this handsome model of hers.

Thank you to both mom and grandma for the nice texts, as getting positive feedback on my photos fills my heart with so much joy.
