Orleans Photo Club The Orleans Photo Club welcomes photographers at all levels. The club first began in 2002 with 12 members. Show and Tell is a very popular part of each meeting.

It has since increased its membership to more than 80 members. The Orléans Photo Club helps its members improve their photographic abilities. The club meets on the second Saturday of every month.Monthly presentations are given by expert photographers on a wide range of topics. It encourages members to showcase their work. To make taking pictures ‘’fun’’ the club encourages members to participate i

n club photo challenges as well as the yearly Ottawa Interclub Competition. Special photography outings encourage our members to stretch their photographic eye and produce unique images instead of simple snapshots. These field trips are a great opportunity to apply skills learned and to experiment with new equipment and techniques. The club is run entirely by volunteers and our goal is to learn and have fun! Now is an interesting time for photography! Come join us!

Join the Orleans Photo Club for the 2026 Nationwide CAPA Photo Walk!

Get your cameras ready! On Saturday, September 19, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Orleans Photo Club is joining thousands of photographers across Canada for the 2nd Annual CAPA Coast to Coast Photo Walk.

Johan Carignan, the Workshops and Outings Director, is thrilled to be leading the group through Ottawa’s own urban oasis, Mud Lake https://ncc-ccn.gc.ca/places/mud-lake.

This free, national event is all about building community and celebrating local nature—meaning it is radically inclusive and open to everyone. Whether you shoot with a compact camera, a DSLR, a mirrorless camera, or a smartphone, your unique perspective matters.

We will meet at the Cassels Street trailhead at 7:45 AM, explore the scenic boardwalks together, and capture the incredible local wildlife. Afterward, we will submit our best shots to the CAPA national gallery for a chance to be featured in their Winter magazine issue!
