Over the past little while, I know many people may have seen my name mentioned in local Facebook forums. I want to take a moment to address that directly.
There was a part of me that thought the easiest thing to do would be to quietly finish outstanding obligations and step away from the business altogether. But ultimately that would not serve anyone, including the families who have trusted me over the years.
The truth is that over the last six months I let people down. I take responsibility for that. While people are welcome to speculate, I will not be sharing the full personal circumstances that contributed to things falling behind. What I will say is that during this time I was also struggling with my mental health, which made it difficult to manage the behind the scenes responsibilities of running the business the way I normally would. I recognize the impact this had, and I am actively working to make things right.
Someone recently reminded me that across the past eight years I have also created meaningful experiences and memories for many families. That reminder was not about dismissing the negative or seeking praise. It was about remembering why I started in the first place. At my core I am good at what I do. Recently the behind the scenes side of running a business simply overwhelmed me.
Moving forward means rebuilding. Rebuilding a business starts with rebuilding trust. I am returning to the foundation this business was built on. Genuine experiences, connection, and creating moments families can hold onto.
While I work through outstanding commitments and restructure how I operate, you may see me begin sharing upcoming sessions again, this is because I have clients who have been patiently waiting to book. I know there are families who already have bookings and are looking forward to capturing important memories, and I remain committed to delivering those.
As I rebuild, my goal is to return to a balance that allows for both special sessions (ie permit required locations) and then adding in more accessible, affordable sessions without burning out again. Sustainability and consistency will be a priority moving forward.
Things are far from perfect, but I am taking steps every day to correct where things fell behind and to move forward with intention and accountability.
Thank you to those who have shown patience, understanding, and support as I work through this chapter.
I understand that trust is built through actions, not words. My focus right now is simply doing the work and getting back to the basics.
