Some wedding tips from photographers who’ve seen it all! 📸⚡️

• Leave extra time in your schedule! Everything takes longer than you think.

• Do a private first look!! It’s a candid, emotional moment for just the two of you before the big celebration.

• Stay present. The day goes by SO FAST.

• Golden hour photos are always worth sneaking away for!

• Your guests don’t notice the small things that go “wrong”

• Eat something and drink water (!!)

• The best photos probably won’t be the posed ones.

At the end of the day, your wedding isn’t a photoshoot, it’s a memory and an experience. The best photos come from couples who genuinely enjoy the day together…

Thinking about getting married at Ottawa City Hall? Here’s a quick guide to help you plan your intimate wedding day 🤍

• Ceremonies take place at Ottawa City Hall (110 Laurier Ave W) or the Orléans Client Service Centre.
• Civil ceremonies are about 20 minutes long and are offered weekdays, with select evening Friday and Saturday appointments available.
• You’ll need a valid Ontario marriage licence, two witnesses, government-issued photo ID and the rings (optional!)
• Guest count is limited to 10 people total, including the couple, witnesses, and officiant.
• Ceremonies are simple, elegant, and available in either English or French.

Pro tip: Ottawa City Hall has beautiful outdoor spots nearby for wedding portraits afterward, including gardens, stone architecture, and downtown views. 📸
