A YEAR AGO TODAY, I sat there with tears streaming down my face as I watched the U.S. Senate vote 25 to 72 against advancing a resolution to stop the slaughter of Barred Owls, and for the past 13 months, these beautiful, innocent birds have been lured out of their forests and SHOT in the name of conservation!

I’ve spent 800 days fighting for their lives, and I refuse to sit quietly while this continues because these owls cannot protest, sign petitions or beg for mercy, BUT WE CAN BE THEIR VOICE, so PLEASE add yours to Hoot for Justice and Hoot Don’t Shoot inside the Beacons on my profile! 🦉❤️

Baby Barred Owls take their first leap before they can even fly! They tumble to the forest floor, where their devoted parents continue caring for them. If you find one, please don’t assume it’s abandoned. Never self rescue during fledgling season always call wildlife rescue if uncertain. Share this to save an owlet!

I will forever be their friend, their love and their advocate!

There’s so many ways we can save them from the comfort of our own home. Look for hoot for justice and hoot Don’t shoot inside the beacons on my profile.

Their eyes can reach deep into your soul and make you feel whole.

I’ve seen the way that they looked at each other as lovers as parents and as children.

If you want to help me, save them and you believe they’re worth saving take a peek inside the beacon site on my profile and look for hoot for justice and hoot Don’t shoot, adding your voice to both of those help save them, as well as sharing the post to raise awareness.

It’s very interesting to me after 17 Bill bars across the west coast of the United States and all the news coverage of the Barred Owl mass slaughter we’ve not heard a peep from the USFWS!

If Barred Owls could eat fruit, what do you think their favourite fruit would be?

Those soulful eyes belong to a Barred Owl, one of nature’s most magnificent creatures, yet nearly half a million are targeted formass slaughter in the Pacific Northwest. 💔

If you believe these beautiful owls deserve to live, say “hoot don’t shoot” and help me give them a voice!
