🐻‍❄️ Today is International Polar Bear Day! 🐾

As climate change continues to reshape the Arctic, sea ice loss remains one of the greatest threats to polar bears. That’s why we’re collaborating with Inuit partners, governments, and other polar bear nations to support conservation in several key ways:

🤝 Working with partners through the Polar Bear Technical Committee to review polar bear research and support responsible management.

🗂️ Serving on the Polar Bear Administrative Committee to help align conservation approaches across Canada.

🌍 Participating internationally as part of Canada’s delegation through the Agreement on the Conservation of Polar Bears.

📈 Supporting the Lancaster Sound subpopulation survey, which will help us better understand the status of bears that occupy Tallurutiup Imanga National Marine Conservation Area and Sirmilik National Park.

Through strong partnerships, science and Inuit knowledge, we’re working to protect polar bears for generations to come.

A white feather resting on the crimson tundra — softness against a world that burns with color and cold.

The feather shouldn’t belong here, and yet it does. Its fragility doesn’t fade against the harshness; it stands out because of it.

Sometimes life’s gentlest moments are the ones that shine brightest. There is a calm silence in the solitude.
