PHOTOttawa150 is a photographic initiative put in motion by the Council of Heritage Organizations in Ottawa and the City of Ottawa Archives to encourage everyone in Canada's Capital Region to share photos of Ottawa in an effort to capture our milestone 150th moments in history, engage more discussion about our beautiful capital, and build our heritage today together.

Submitted by Robin Frost: "This was one of the less obviously spectacular creations at the MosaiCANADA exhibit in Gatineau but I was very taken by the subtle colours and textures of the wood and the remarkable sense of llfe and alertness that the sculptor had created."

Submitted by Gary Corcoran: "This is a photo I took in blue hour Sept 10th 2017 of the the Chateau Lafayette located in the Byward Market Ottawa, ON, CAN.
It is the oldest pub in Canada opened in 1849 18 years before the year of Confederation in 1867.
I like the sign which the Chateau Lafayette has had up all summer long on its building front wishing Canada a happy 150th anniversary of Confederation this 2017.
The well known Ottawa historic pub also has a well known sign that lights up in a red shade which went well with the dusk sky in behind."

This shopping center is a downtown Ottawa center and opened on March 16,1983.

I liked this sign that is newly put up and the lighting on it from the upper level windows."
