We drove home yesterday after a wonderful holiday visiting my family! The 9 hour drive home was quite eventful. The kids LOVED their time in the red house, running on the beach, watching the waves and going to see the lighthouse and submarine. Visiting with kids is so different and it opened our eyes to all the new fun kids friendly things there is to do around my childhood home. In addition to the tidal pools, rock climbing and the beach, there’s now a cool submarine a few houses away and my dad has a new garden and green house with strawberries and raspberries ready for picking. It is definitely a two year old dream!

We also visited the cottage my grandfather built so many years ago on a salmon river and the kids loved running around and go swimming in the river.

One of the highlights of our trip was visiting my brother’s new distillery . My brother had it built down the street from my dad’s red house. The bar is finally open and it has the most amazing view of the light house, submarine, the bay and surrounding islands. It was so nice visiting the distillery. We started with a tasting of their new Discovery line. It was a one of a kind experience trying their new products. Our favourites were their 3 years aged gin and their 4.5 years single malt whisky aged in Sherry barrels. Such a unique experience! In a few months, it will be fully built and they will have the wedding venue with the most gorgeous view!

Yesterday was so fun!! The light was perfect at Black Rapids and the Champagne was flowing!

A lot has been happening behind the scenes in our life and business. I’m living my best summer life enjoying the water with my babies and making memories. But by living my best life sometimes I forget to post our amazing clients!

So here is our recent newborn session. I photographed all milestones in Jenna & Mark’s life, from their engagement, wedding, maternity, first newborn and now baby number two newborn. They are truly dream clients and I always love to see them! They have been through a world wind since the birth of baby two and I wish them all the best for the future 🤍

I spent my third Mother’s Day hanging out with my babies and photographing this mama’s newborn session. It was so great to document her second baby and seeing photos I took of her first baby and wedding all over their gorgeous home!

Since we became parents, newborn sessions are so much more special to photograph. We know how hard the first few weeks are with baby (especially with a toddler already in tow), but we also know how special photographs of this unique fleeting moment are to parents.

I absolutely loved photographing this little family and cannot wait for our daughters and sons to become besties when they get older.
