There are so many awesome locations for photo sessions in the Summer months that it can be hard to choose the one that will work best for your family.

"Can we bring our dog to our session?"

In most cases, yes! Although there are some locations in Ottawa where dogs aren't permitted (the Ornamental Gardens, Petrie Island, some of my privately booked locations), most of our session locations are 🐕 friendly.

We do also have a few other suggestions:
-if your dog isn't able to sit or stay and posed portraits with your young kids are a priority, we suggest waiting until your dog is able to sit/stay (unless your dog is little enough to be held in your arms)
-you are open and love the idea of candid photos because our four legged family members are often as excited as kids on photo day, which means we have to be flexible about more action or interactive shots!

When we photograph sessions in the Arboretum we find, even with people who have lived in Ottawa their whole lives, that they are always amazed at the location because it feels like you're in the middle of a forest but you're only minutes away from downtown Ottawa.

They were taken by my youngest son who is preparing for his first Original Navan Market https://www.facebook.com/OriginalNavanMarket with his business https://www.instagram.com/silverandsteeljewellery/

After asking how many followers I had, he said it would be really helpful for me to share a post about his business to help with reach - so here's the post 😂

He makes his rings (and other items) entirely on his own, and we spend a lot of time scouring Facebook marketplace and thrift stores for cutlery. His dad has to share his workbench and I have to share my studio but we're adjusting 😅
