Legendary. Iconic. Institution. No other address in Ottawa can claim to be all three. 56 ByWard Market Square, in her various incarnations throughout the years, has lived an illustrious life. This much-loved space was more than just a night-club or venue, it was a bias-free bastion that many people called home for 25 years before its closure in 2019. If these walls could talk!
Fast-forward to today, with a major facelift, this iconic venue is ready for her come-back, and the metamorphosis is sure to inspire another 25 years of memories with three unique spaces coming together as part of the Dreammind Group.

Berlin pays deep homage to the legendary institution that was Mercury Lounge and aims to continues the long tradition of being a mecca for arts in Canada’s Capital. Inspired by a 21st century Soul Club, Berlin promises to be hub of diverse artistic expression that is firmly rooted in local our local scene.
