Happy International Women's Week!! This week, I am sharing a portrait & interview series with five incredible women entrepreneurs in Ottawa who have inspired me over this first year of me being in Ottawa. I’ve created this project to celebrate their entrepreneurial journeys, amplify their voices and inspire others.

Subject 1: Patricia Grassals - A caribbean multi-passionate mom of two beautiful souls, and a wife. Patricia helps women navigate different stages of life while managing their business with authenticity and joy.

I am so grateful for my subjects’ willingness to be seen and heard through this project. Using my work to capture people and share stories is truly an honour. In addition to my subjects, I am extremely thankful for the support I’ve had during this project from the National Arts Centre, Alteriors, Camila Bousquet, and Sebastian Ribeiro.

2023, man — it’s big!! I’m SO excited to share that I’m now splitting my time between Ottawa and Sudbury (and beyond!!) for work, with a new home-base in Ottawa, and quarterly availability for work in Sudbury.

Ottawa: IM HEEEERREEE & READY TO MINGLEEEEE. Currently booking into Spring 2023 and onward, and so thrilled to spread my wings here 🥂

Sudbury: I’ve got my plans all set for a week in April & a week in May in Sudbury, and am currently booking into these spring dates. Send me a note if you’d like to work together & compare availability!

Lastly, as an entrepreneur, my favourite thing (or at least one of them) is having the control to build a business that supports the best kind of lifestyle for me & my family. This is a big change for me and my work, and I remind myself constantly that these big butterflies in my stomach are signs that big change and big growth are good for the soul ❤️. I’m feeling extremely grateful for all of the support I’ve had in navigating life and business and relocations and everything in between over the past several years. 2023 is a big one, and I’m very ready for the adventures to come.
