I always enjoy working with author and motivational speaker Derian Tuitt, he is the most interesting and inspiring entrepreneur I have ever met. His creative and uniques sense of style always produces headshots with a pop of colour that stand out from the crowd.

A mom booked a portrait for her 4 year old daughter. During the photo session the mom told me that when her husband asked who she had booked for their daughter's photos she said Robin Spencer. He told her I had photographed his barmitsvah exactly thirty years ago. She sent me this behind the scene photo.

I felt honored, blessed and old. LOL

I got this DIY gadget idea from Mike Price, MBA, M.Photog Cr. at his headshot workshop in Chicago. It's simply two paper clips held together by a hair elastic. Perfect when you are doing headshots and the person's suitjacket is too tight and doesn't quit close.

It has saved the day many times since. It holds the jacket closed and gives a nice slop to the lapels. Obviously it attaches low enough on the jack that it doesn't show up in the final cropping. Thanks Mike, I used it today and just wanted to publically thank you for the great idea.

Layla Abdulaziz is such a soft-spoken person you would not guess all she has accomplished. Layla is a Bachelor of Engineering specializing in Automation & Robotics. And a Certified Dental Assistant.

She came to me requiring an updated headshot as she started her newest venture as President of The Kurdistan Diaspora Women's Federation (KDWF) and manager of STEP Magazine.

It's great to meet an entrepreneur, especially when they are starting a new business with a creative idea. Josh Larock came in to get headshots for his LinkedIn profile. Josh has his masters in statistics but has developed an exciting and interactive way to collect research data. He created a series of pop-up booths where customers can have fun experiencing the products while he collects data.

The National Art Gallery of Canada, a great place to practice sketching. Followed by a ginger cookie and a cortado at the cafe. Annabelle and I will be back soon.

Meeting and photographing The Hon. Tony Clement last week was a pleasure. Instantly likeable and easy to work with, yes. But it was his great sense of humour that surprised me.
