It makes me so upset to see made in USA on these green packages of analogue products…
More tariffs, more economic sanctions and pressure to push manufacturers to make products in USA but where goes the fair trade practices?
More products are getting discontinued (including slide films and lab supplies), we are dealing with a very handicapped industry by constant corporate pressure which will translate into more price increases and shortages due to corporate greed and superficial shortages of film, darkroom products and any camera products with microchips in them!
Most of my time and energy is spent on finding products and supplies worldwide but it’s not an easy job anymore due to lack of products and shipping restrictions due to environmental concerns and new tariffs imposed by governments!!!
Doom and gloom for our film industry to put it mildly!!!!😞😡😞😡👎
On a positive note store is still open 7 days and we might extend our business hours for this spring/summer season!
Galaxy Camera turns 36 this year and I’m proud of being the oldest full line photography store in Ottawa/Gatineau region, thank you as I couldn’t have done this without your support and your help!
Please feel free to write your suggestions for a new name to include: Analogue, photography, film, Galaxy Camera, United Nations and Ottawa!

The week has been a battle between Fujifilm & Kodak disposable cameras (now available in 2 packs), with autumn season here, I really wish we had more colour film in 800 speedfilms in stock, all 800 film such as CineStill, Kodak Portra & Lomography films are in short supply!
😞 🤞🎞️ 😡
On that note, the same films are all in stock in 120 format. Another problematic category is Chemicals: ECN2, E6 (for slides) & C-41 kits are in short supplies & there are rumours that ECN2 & E6 chemistry are no longer available from Kodak… 😢

Rare, made in Japan multilayer colour negative and Fujichrome slide, positive film (all are discontinued & very hard to find)✌️
Just in time for the fall season! 🍁 🎞️🎉

The week has been a battle between Fujifilm & Kodak rolls of colour negative films, with autumn season around the corner I really wish we had more slide films in stock but I have a feeling this is the last year of them being in stock as they will be discontinued soon, there’s always expired film online but it’s a lot trickier to shoot expired slide film…
😞 🤞🎞️ 😡
On that note there’s still about 20 rolls of Kodak Ektachrome, Fujifilm Velvia but due to the number of rolls left in stock, it’s limited to 1 roll per customer, we also have a few packs of iconic Fujichrome Velvia 4x5 film for those lucky select customers with rare 4x5 cameras!🎉✌️🎞️🥰
