The Mermaid Hut is my personal studio and creative sanctuary. It’s not a big retail shop—it’s where the needles move and the visions come to life. Many of you have known me over the years as a designer of many things—from transforming spaces with intentional interiors to capturing the soul of a moment through my lens. I have a long-standing history in the fashion world, well known for my custom clothing, structured coats, and signature dresses.
But my true passion has always lived in the "Art of the Reimagined."
I’ve always had a unique eye for seeing things once loved and being able to visualize them in three dimensions. Where some see a fragment of antique lace or a heritage textile, I see the curve of a silhouette, the structure of a coat, and the spirit of a "Shield-Maiden."
I am so excited to finally open the vault on my newest evolution: The Rosie Roo Series. Think Free People hippie-soul meets rugged Viking grit. It’s a high-texture fusion of soft cottage-core florals and hand-sculpted armor for the wild at heart.
THE CRAFT:
These aren’t made by a machine or cut from a factory pattern. Every seam is hand-joined right here at my bench for an organic, flexible fit that moves with you.
