With the path of totality being just a short drive away, we decided to take the afternoon off and see if we could find a clear patch of sky - and oh boy did we get lucky!
We parked on the side of the highway a short drive outside of Gander, and the clouds opened up in time for the main event! This was taken just as totality began. If we had stuck with our original plan, the clouds would have obscured it

Went for a drive yesterday and happened to have a gown in the backseat of the car (it's how we roll), so I snapped some photos out at Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve after photographing the gannets there. This one is a bit different from what I would normally do, as it's a bit more vibrant, but I thought it was a fun experiment!
