Lion of Lucerne designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen

Before I found out I was going to Lucerne, Switzerland I saw an image of the most majestic sculpture of this slain lion. I knew I had to see it in person. I didn't think it was possible as I had no idea where in Lucerne we would be situated, but to my surprise we were moments away and it was the first stop they took us before our hotel. It was just a small alcove with the statue recessed in the wall above a small little pond, stunning. Switzerland has been one of my all time favourite places to visit!

I know I haven't been posting my client session photos lately and yes there is still lots happening in the background (I have been taking my time revamping the focus of my services/company + web site relaunch etc)....but this was just too cute not to share.

Day One + Part of Day Two

Immediately after landing in Dublin, Shauna, Charles and I, hopped in our rental and began our 7-day journey of Ireland. We started our trip by heading north to view the Dark Hedges, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, and the Giant's Causeway and the Dunluce Castle ruins (stopping along the way for scenery photo ops etc). We spent the night in Bushmills and headed back to the castle ruins to see them in the morning.
Bushmills was a beautiful quaint town and we stayed in an amazing bed and breakfast named Lismar B&B (highly recommend it!)

So I was feeling a little gloomy today with all this fog. I needed a little pick-me-up and decided to go through some photos I had taken back in September (Labour Day Weekend).

I know I don't normally share my travel pics with you, but I would like to dedicate this album to all my "Newfie" friends and those who wish they were honourary Newfoundlanders.

We truly live in a gorgeous province. The Newfoundland Tourism commercials are authentic! Enjoy.

Ephesus was probably the one destination on the cruise that we were not really looking forward too, and all I have to say, is that we were absolutely blown away with all its beauty!
