I’m constantly looking at light, angles, lines, texture and the list goes on. I’ve been playing with cameras for 35 years and I still love it. Now that I’m retired and can spend more time pursuing my passion, I’m a happy man. Being outside and photographing almost anything gives me focus (pun intended). Learning a craft, like photography is more than the technical eleme

nts, it requires vision and a love of learning. I’m enjoying the interaction and multiple facets of photographing people in their many environments, trying to make photographs that will be treasured for years to come.

We just happened to be in Newtown at the same time as Mick Davis and Thin Love were performing in the Barbour Living Heritage Theatre. Mick Davis & Thin Love is a Canadian rock outfit formed by singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer, Mick Davis. Small venues are such a great place to see quality acts like these!
They said no cameras. I asked the organizer if he'd like some shots. You can see the answer.

The Provincial Seamen's Museum in Grand Bank, Newfoundland and Labrador, preserves the rich maritime and outport heritage of the region. The building housing the Provincial Seamen's Museum was originally the Yugoslavia Pavilion at the Expo 67 World's Fair in Montreal. Its journey from a temporary international exhibit to a permanent maritime museum in rural Newfoundland is a fascinating piece of Canadian architectural history.
The Newfoundland government purchased the entire Yugoslavia pavilion for just $1. Joey Smallwood the premier and his team re-envisioned the building's distinct triangular forms. Instead of abstract European modernism, they saw a perfect local metaphor: the white sails of a traditional fishing schooner
