First and foremost, I want to thank Becky from the bottom of our hearts. The morning of the fire, we were completely overwhelmed. We had no idea what to think, what to do, what to expect, or even where to start. In the middle of all that chaos and heartbreak, Becky stepped up and created this GoFundMe for our family without hesitation, and it has already helped us more than we can ever express. Thank you, Becky, for being there for us when we needed it most. We will never forget it.
Over these last two weeks, the love, support, prayers, donations, meals, and kindness shown to our family have carried us through some of the hardest days of our lives. We are so grateful for every single person who has helped in any way.
As hard as it has been to put aside our pride, this experience has taught us that sometimes you truly do have to accept help and lean on the people around you. Asking for help has never come easy to us, but right now, we truly do need it.
Because of all of you, we have been able to get the immediate essentials we needed after the fire. Since then, we’ve been living in a hotel while searching every day for a safe place to call home. Unfortunately, housing options in our area are very limited, and the process has been much harder and longer than we ever expected.
Along with losing our home, we also lost four vehicles in the fire, and the insurance coverage for our rental vehicle is beginning to run out. The financial strain of temporary living, transportation, and rebuilding our lives has become overwhelming.
At this point, our greatest need is financial support to help us secure stable housing, replace transportation, and continue moving forward one step at a time.
