Two years ago (almost to the day...) I wrote a hiatus post. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to work with an amazing team. I woke up at 5am filled with ideas and excitement for the shoot.
It was a fun day and it felt good to spend time with passionate, likeminded people. Thank you so much to my wonderful team.
I can't wait to share the photos we created with all of you.
It felt so good to once again be doing something I am truly passionate about. Now that I have a home studio, I know that there are many more shoots to look forward to. Can't wait. 😘

I've been meaning to post a hiatus message for sometime now. Life has been so incredibly busy lately (in a good way) and I've had no time for photography. I won't be accepting paid/trade assignments until further notice. I'm sure I will continue to shoot personal work when I can, but for now I'm focusing on other things. Thank you for your interest and understanding. (:

This was created using parts from two different photographs. I decided to reshoot this with my arm down, and Stella decided to be a part of the shoot too.
I added texture to the sky using watercolour brushes in Photoshop, to make it more moody.
I changed the tones and added brightness to the place where Stella and I were standing, in order to create some contrast.

Stella is my little shadow.
She's a bright spot in this dark image... It's been raining almost non-stop here, but I wanted to get out and shoot SOMETHING. It wasn't my intention to have her in the photo, but I'm happy she decided to tag along. (;
