One thing I think is super interesting about the red-winged black bird is how different the males look from the females! While the males live true to the name, like this guy here, the females have more of a brown appearance to help better blend in and hide from predators and typically get confused with robins. While these guys may be a little bit smaller than your average crackle, they more than make up for it in their beauty and confidence! Do you have red-winged black birds where you live?
