August felt like a mix of both slowing down and building up. Lots of time by the water, a little unplugged recharging, and some back end work on new things I’m SOOO excited about (more on them soon 👀).

Grateful for a month that had room for both rest and growth.

ADHD brain, empath heart, and a dog who runs the house.

I take (most) weekends off. I struggle with imposter syndrome and the idea of done is better than perfect. I romanticize everything, including your business. And I will absolutely be your built-in hype girl the second we start working together.

Do any of these relate? Tell me which one below. 👇

One of the best parts of a brand session is getting a peek into someone else’s world.

This time it meant spending the afternoon with Sheeba, Home Organizer + Decluttering expert, watching all the little details that go into creating calm, organized spaces for her clients.

From labelled bins and pantry containers to tape measures, neatly styled shelves, and all the thoughtful details in between, every image tells a small part of the story behind what she does.

Of course, we captured beautiful portraits, but some of my favourite images are the ones that show her doing what she does best.

Those are the photos that make a gallery feel like you.

The goal isn’t just to look professional. It’s to create photos that help your audience picture what it’s like to work with you.

AI is great for a lot of things. I use it for both business and personal life. You probably do too.

But using AI-generated “brand photos” to represent you? That’s where things start to feel a little weird.

A strong brand should build trust.

Your audience can feel when something is off, even if they can’t immediately explain why. The overly perfect skin, the dead eyes, mysterious extra limbs 😅… everything starts looking the same.

AI can generate a face.

It can’t capture your personality. Your energy. Your mannerisms. Your real expressions and the way you connect with people.

It definitely can’t photograph your business in a way that reflects the experience you actually provide.
Your audience wants to see the real you. Not whoever AI thinks you are.

You are your brand’s greatest asset, and no algorithm can replicate that 🤍

If you’re ready to show up as the real you, let’s chat!

Every time a client says, “I don’t want basic photos”, I exhale a little because it tells me you get it! ✨

You understand that photos aren’t just to fill space on your website or Instagram feed. They shape how people perceive your business before you even meet. “Basic” or cookie-cutter images don’t build trust. They fail to communicate your level of care, your expertise, and the experience you offer.

That’s why I don’t just show up with a camera. We plan and get really clear on what your brand needs to say and how it should feel. So when your photos are out in the world, they’re doing their job:

Attracting the right people
Building credibility
Reflecting the business you’ve worked so hard to build

If you’ve been holding off because you want to avoid a cookie-cutter look but aren’t sure how to get there, we should talk! 🤍

After a little pause from posting, it felt right to come back with this one.

And on International Women’s Day, no less. 🤍

Supporting women who are building thoughtful, purpose-driven businesses is one of the things I love most about brand photography.

Today felt like the perfect day to share a few from this session and celebrate all women doing amazing work.

Images from a recent brand session with a dear friend who also happens to be an incredible Travel Planner.

Know a woman running a business we should celebrate today? Tag her below. ✨
