One of my favourite things about photographing rodeo is getting to witness when pickup men work together so flawlessly.
For years, I’ve been in awe watching these two at the Writing-on-Stone Rodeo. The synchronization between the two of them and their horses, the timing, the trust, and the way they work together so effortlessly—it’s something pretty special to watch.
There’s a smoothness to the way they move as one that makes it look almost easy. But anyone who knows horses knows just how much communication, trust and teamwork goes into that kind of partnership.
It’s been incredible to watch over the years, and even better to have the opportunity to capture moments like this.
