I turned 41 on Monday. Here is what I have learned in my first year of being in my 40s.
- 40 is not old. It is not over the hill. It does not define how you should act or how you should dress
- Embrace change with an open heart. It may not always go the way you want or expect and that's ok
- The art of letting go—letting go of expectations, past mistakes, and anything that no longer serves my growth and happiness
- You cannot pour from an empty cup. You have to prioritize your own well-being. Whether it's physical health, mental wellness, or emotional balance, taking care of myself has become a non-negotiable priority
Also can we take a second to appreciate this photo lol. I rarely wear all black, but sometimes it's fun to become someone else for a afternoon, to get dressed up and channel different energy. I guess you could say I'm in my moody era.
