A dream of a backyard wedding on a warm July weekend. Sierra and Will had the coolest vision that fostered such a fun environment for their guests (and vendors!) Colourful, creative, easygoing and artistic - just like them. Loved being a part of this day and getting to know this amazing group of people. Congratulations 💕

Behind the scenes as I get ready for and pack up my photography gear for a long outdoor wedding day!

The prep really starts months before the big day with constant communication with the clients and finalizing timelines and family photo lists which I always print and bring along on the day.

Then it's all batteries, memory cards and gear prep. Extra lenses and double + triple checking that I have everything I need.

And then there's the stuff I need to keep my own batteries charged for the day! Water, caffeine, advil, snacks, change of shoes and extra clothes in case of rain. I really need to be prepared for everything - especially in BC where the weather changes on a dime! I shoot a lot of outdoor weddings so rain protection, hydration, proper footwear, and clothes I can move around in are huge factors for me.
