Harbour Grace is famous for several historic and cultural landmarks:

Aviation history — Harbour Grace became internationally known as a transatlantic aviation hub in the 1920s and 1930s. Amelia Earhart departed from Harbour Grace in 1932 for her solo flight across the Atlantic, becoming the first woman to accomplish it.

SS Kyle shipwreck — The rusty remains of the SS Kyle sitting near the shoreline are one of the town’s most photographed attractions and a favorite drone spot.
