Brad Lovell Music kicked off the live music entertainment at the 81st annual Alberni District Fall Fair Thursday Sept 10. Brad is an exceptionally talented musician who now calls Port Alberni home. He's a super busy guy with at least three bands (that I know of) as well as his solo career. His other bands include American Rock Legends, Kinda Country, and SawDaddies.

Last weekend (July 24-26 2026), the Alberni Valley Minor Softball Association's U19B ladies "Alberni Blazers" team hosted the BC Provincial softball championships. Seventeen teams from across the province descended on for 3 days of fastpitch.
