I wonder how many little things you do every day that actually started with someone else.
Maybe it’s your mom, your grandfather, a teacher, your best friend, your child, or someone you only knew for a short season.
Who is someone in your life whose fingerprints are all over the person you’ve become?
So much of our legacy is created this way.
We carry pieces of people with us.
Their sayings become our sayings, recipes end up in our kitchen, lessons influence how we raise our children, and sometimes we even catch ourselves making the same facial expression they used to make.
It’s one of the reasons I love photographing people so much.
Every person who steps in front of my camera carries an entire history.
I’d love to know about someone who left their fingerprints on you.
Who are they, and what piece of them do you still carry? Let’s use this post like a little legacy archive ❤️
If this has you thinking about the pieces of your own legacy you’d love to preserve, I’d love to help you turn them into artwork you get to live with now and carry forward for generations.
