Meet Kika! 🐾

I have the pleasure of photographing this lovely lady again today. Kika is one of the winners of our annual calendar contest and will be featured in our fundraising calendar benefiting for the third time!

At this point, she’s basically a calendar veteran and one of our most beloved returning models. ❤️

I can’t get enough of her cute little face. I mean… can you blame me? Just look at her 😍

I can’t wait to create more beautiful memories with her and celebrate her once again in this year’s calendar. 🐶✨

As some of you may know, every year we come together to create something really special, a calendar that celebrates the incredible dogs in our community while raising money for the amazing work at About a Dog Rescue Society.

I learned the heartbreaking news that Hugo, a beautiful Malamute I had the honour of photographing last year, has crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈🐾

Hugo was more than just a dog—he was deeply loved, full of quiet strength and gentle soul. I remember our session so clearly: his expressive eyes, his super fluffy soft coat, the way he looked at his mom with absolute trust and devotion.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I do what I do. Photos become more than images—they become memories we can hold onto when our hearts are aching.

I feel incredibly honoured to have captured a small part of Hugo’s story. My heart is with his family as they grieve the loss of their beloved companion. Run free, sweet boy. You will always be remembered. 🤍🐾

Today is National Kitten Day 😻 a time to celebrate the joy, mischief, and unconditional love that kittens bring into our lives.

But for many tiny lives across the Lower Mainland, there’s nothing to celebrate.

This summer, organizations like are responding to an overwhelming number of kittens and vulnerable cats who’ve been abandoned, are dehydrated, and have been left to fend for themselves. Rising temperatures and ongoing economic instability have led to a heartbreaking number of surrenders. The summer heat has created dangerous outdoor conditions for these fragile felines.
