2024 British Columbia Image Competition images. I had great results this year!

These are my images recently submitted to the Prairie Region Image Salon for the Professional Photographers of Canada. I submit my images there because I run the Eastern Region Image Salon so I am not allowed to enter that one. I was quite happy with my results, and I am delighted to be a finalist for the Best Out of Province image! Award winners announced Nov 4th.

Here are my 2021 Ontario Image Salon images, 2 were Accepted and 2 awarded Merit. All four were selected as finalists for Best in Class and I was a finalist for Photographic Artist of the Year. It was my first time being a finalist for Photographic Artist of the Year so I count that as a great accomplishment even though I didn't win! Thanks to the Professional Photographers of Canada for featuring my image today!

A beautiful play of colour, "Flame Corona" was created by image-maker Lisa Gauthier-Demaline of Alder Lake Photography. This Experimental/Unclassified image was Accepted for exhibition in our 2020 National Image Salon.

These are the 4 images I submitted to the National Image Salon of the Professional Photographers of Canada this year and I had all 4 accepted for the first time! This gave me enough points to get my CPA.

Now that the National Image Competition is over I can show the images from the Ontario competition that won awards. My first 'Best in Class' awards!

This is my third year entering images into the Professional Photographers of Canada National Image Competition and this is the first year that all 4 of my images were Accepted! It was also the first time that I entered a Portrait. It is a great (and scary) thing to have your images judged by some of the top professional photographers in the country and pushes me to do better every year!
