If you’re planning your first branding session or tenth, these are 3 helpful tips to make sure you’re ready to clearly communicate your brand and your business in your branding photoshoot! 📸

1. PLAN

Create a Pinterest board with all your images for inspo. This is key to make sure your photoshoot is efficient and well worth it! When pinning on Pinterest, look for vibes & feelings along with colours and textures- not just poses…I’ll take care of that part!

2. BRING PROPS

When it comes to branding photography, props are everything! This is how you show people what you do and this is your chance to show off and look good doing it. Using branded props is one of the easiest ways to elevate your photos to the next level. Here are some examples:

💻 Laptops
📱 Phone
🖊 Pens
📖 Books/notepads/journals
💧 Tumblers
🪪 Business cards/brochures

A few others that are more brand specific:
🎈 Confetti/balloons
🍾 Champagne
🧘‍♀️Yoga mat

🪴 Pillows or home decor

3. CHOOSE YOUR OUTFIT

Choosing the right clothes – color, texture, silhouette, etc – goes a long way in elevating your brand and making sure your photos communicate your brand’s personality and vibe. What you choose to wear for your brand photography
session is incredibly important. You want to
look professional as well as approachable,
and you want to represent your brand. Dress how you normally would if
you were meeting with a client. Stay true to your own personal style while also keeping your brand aesthetic in mind.

One more tip to add:
💄 If you don’t love the way you do your own hair and makeup on a regular day, you’re really not going to like it in your branding images. Hiring a professional hair and makeup artist can give you that boost of confidence and make you feel your best for your photoshoot. Having someone handle your hair and makeup will help you feel more relaxed instead of stressing about getting ready the day of your shoot.

Hey friends!! 👋🏻

I thought I’d share a little of my story with you…

I’m a mom to Brody (an energetic 5 yr old boy) and Layla (a sassy little 1.5 yr old girl). I work part time as a dental hygienist and have been in the dental field for over 15 years! 🦷

My husband and I LOVE to travel! ✈️
Our next trip we have planned is at the end of May to somewhere we’ve never been before…Grenada! Dan booked this trip as a surprise for our 7th anniversary and I am SO excited for some one on time to connect with eachother ❤️

If you know me at all, you know that:

🍣 Sushi is my fave
🍷 I love red wine
♾️ I have 3 tattoos
🧊 I have an obsession with eating ice (I blame it on my pregnancies lol)

I’ve always loved taking photos of my friends and family so I decided to buy myself a DSLR camera and take a photography course to learn how to use it 📸

I knew I loved helping people and wanted to do something that made an impact on my community 👊🏻 —> So I decided to join a 6 week mentorship program to learn how to become a confident brand photographer.

I just launched my branding photography business earlier this year which will help entrepreneurs connect with their audience, attract their dream clients and help their brand stand out on social media.
