Hyperspace Metal Festival 2026 - Day Three

On our final night of this fine festival (maybe forever?) we moved on over to my home away from home: Rickshaw Theatre.
Opening up the show was the return of 1980s Canadian heavy metal legends Witchkiller. Following that up we had a double dose of prog metal with Voidchaser (Montreal) and Artificial Language (Fresno). Fantasy/D&D metal storytellers Owlbear finally made it for this years' fest (they had to cancel last year) and played to a crowd who were anticipating their performance for quite some time. And finishing off the final night was Seattle's Sanctuary playing Into the Mirror Black in its entirety.

Thanks to Journeyman Productions once again for having me out, all the bands for smiling at the camera, The Cobalt and Rickshaw Theatre for being great venues in our fine city and everyone who supports what I do (like Mason Henniger)

The second night of Hyperspace Metal Festival 2026 is upon us! Behold the energy of Edge Of Paradise, The Scepter, Lycanthro, Ophelia Falling and Valley of Despair! LA, Vancouver, Ottawa and Edmonton represent!

Glacial Mutilation Metal Festival 2026

Though I was only able to make it to day 3 of the festival there were seven incredible bands that hit the Rickshaw Theatre stage.

A wee teaser of Opal In Sky from Glacial Mutilation Metal Festival 2026. The last time I saw them play was their first show ever at Armstrong MetalFest - AMF a couple years ago. Since then, they have added Colton Jeremy Hession (Glacial Mutilation Fest organizer) to the group. More to come.

It's been a while since I've shot a show due to life bringing several obstacles. I had a distal bicep rupture in my right arm in December that required surgery and I honestly didn't think I'd get back to a show for possibly 6 months, but last weekend I felt pretty good and decided to give it a go. Here's but a tiny teaser of VINTERSEA from Glacial Mutilation Metal Festival 2026. More to come...

Revocation w/Judiciary , INFERI and VOMIT FORTH

It's been a long time since Revocation (VIP Artist Family member) paid Vancouver a visit. It was spring of 2022, just a bit before the release of Netherheaven, that they last came through town. Now they are back with a new lineup and the release of their newest album New Gods, New Masters.

To round out the tour, the band brought Texas hardcore outfit Judiciary, the technical madness of Nashville's Inferi and the death metal stylings of Vomit Forth.

Big thanks to Mayo of The Invisible Orange for having me out, the Rickshaw Theatre for being the best place to see some metal in Vancouver and all my supporters on that website I'm not allowed to mention here. Supporters like Mason Henniger, the sole member of the Shout-outs tier.
