A quiet afternoon, a stack of old photographs, the soft hum of memory between my grandparents and myself.

Before my grandfather’s dementia clouded the details.

Before I became a parent myself.

We sat together, turning time over in our hands.

The creases in the photos held as much history as the faces — corners worn down by touch, stories passed not just in words, but in the way we held each image like it meant something.

Because it did.

We didn’t wait.
We were present.

And now, this is a moment I carry with me — not perfectly, but deeply.

Not because it was grand, but because it wasn’t.

Because we were there.

Dreaming about summer adventures with this little fam of mine. Always captured on film, quickly and intentionally, then right back to the moment. We've been documenting our trips this way for many years and it's enjoyable to see our photos after the fact. Starting to thinking about adventures for 2024 (camp, day trips, etc...).
