Hi, I’m Joella. It’s been a while since I’ve shared my face around here.
To be honest, I’m probably not the photographer for everyone… but if you hate stiff, awkward photos, love the prairies and golden light, and also don’t want to feel like you’ll be winging it at your session…you’ll fit right in here.
I photograph weddings, couples, and families in a way that feels like you…candid, real, a little chaotic (in the best way), with just enough direction to keep grandma and grandpa happy.
You don’t need to know how to pose or even feel 100% confident. Most of my clients show up a bit nervous…ensuring I know they think they’re awkward, but leave knowing they’ve had a good time.
As an introvert, I’m not going to be the loudest hype girl, but I’ll be real and honest, and so careful with your moments and capture your emotions. I’ll be silly with your kids and ask for playful moments regardless of age…so you can relax, be yourself, and actually enjoy our time together!
And if you’re waiting for the right time…when you feel more confident, life slows down, whatever it is — that time has a funny way of never showing up.
You’ll find me at wing night eating chicken wings with a fork, relaxing at the lake, hiding from birds, or exploring ditches chasing the kind of light I swear is worth it.
