When you think about your wedding photos, you probably picture the dress, the first look, the ceremony, and the beautiful portraits.

But someday, I think you’ll look back and treasure the moments in between even more.

The way your mom looked at you while helping with your dress.
The quiet moment you took a deep breath before everything began.
Your mom & daughter laughing around you.
The happy tears. The nervous hands. The little touches.
The people who were there, helping you become a bride.

These are the moments you may not even notice on your wedding day because everything moves so quickly.

But years from now, those photographs will bring you back.

Back to the room.
Back to the laughter.
Back to the people you love.
Back to the feeling of “This is really happening.”

Because your wedding day isn't just about how it looked.

It's about how it felt.

And sometimes, the photos you didn't know you needed become the ones you hold onto the tightest. 🤍

I first had the chance to photograph his sister’s graduation, so when it was Colton's turn to step in front of my camera, it felt like so much more than just another grad session.

It’s one of my favorite things about being a photographer: the relationships that grow beyond the photos, and getting to document these milestones as families return year after year.

Congratulations, Colton! I’m so proud to have been there to capture this chapter of your story.

Two grads. Two big dreams. And one bittersweet goodbye on the horizon.

This hardworking young man is off to Ottawa to study Aerospace Engineering—a huge accomplishment and the beginning of an incredible new chapter.

Rylan has put in the work, stayed focused, and earned every bit of this moment. Now he’s trading familiar places for a new city, new experiences, and a future that is literally reaching for the skies. 🚀

And for those who saw my last grad post… yes, this is her boyfriend.

She showed up in THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GREEN DRESS, ready to celebrate everything she’s accomplished—and everything that’s still ahead.

Maggie is heading into Education, chasing big dreams and stepping into an exciting new chapter. But along with the excitement comes a little bittersweetness… her boyfriend is moving away, too, making this season of change feel even bigger.

Graduation is so much more than a cap and gown. It’s the people who stood beside you, the memories you made, and the realization that life is about to look a whole lot different.

So here’s to new beginnings, big dreams, love that grows through change, and a future waiting to be built.

Rainy days have a way of making me slow down and look back at the moments I’ve been lucky enough to capture.

Today I found myself thinking about this beautiful, warm morning at the park —

What makes this session especially meaningful to me is that these two began as clients and, somewhere along the way, became friends. And now I get the incredible privilege of documenting their family as it grows.

There’s something so special about being invited into these chapters of people’s lives. The weddings, the growing bellies, the tiny newborn fingers, the quiet moments between parents and their babies. These are the moments that pass far too quickly, and somehow photographs give us a way to hold onto them.

I’m so grateful that photography has brought people like this into my life—not just as clients, but as people I genuinely care about. 🤍

So on this rainy day, I’m remembering a little sunshine, a beautiful family, and just how lucky I am to be part of their story.

As the kids get ready to head back to school, I can’t help but think about just how quickly time flies. 🤍

One day you’re packing their little backpacks and taking those first-day-of-school photos… and before you know it, you’re standing behind the camera capturing their graduation portraits.

Josh is the perfect example of what can happen when hard work, dedication, and passion come together. From meeting the challenges in the classroom to pursuing a hockey career, he has worked incredibly hard to get where he is today — and he’s only getting started. 🎓🏒

There is so much pride in watching these young people grow, overcome challenges, chase their dreams, and step confidently into what comes next.

These are the moments I love capturing most — not just what they’ve accomplished, but who they are becoming.

Congratulations on an incredible chapter. Here’s to the next one!

There is something so bittersweet about watching your baby become a big brother. 🤍

Because even when your heart is bursting with excitement for the little life you're bringing into the world, there can still be a quiet ache for the days that are coming to an end.

The last days of being a family of three.
The last moments of being someone's whole world.
The last time you’ll hold your first baby without someone else waiting to be held.

There is grief in that transition — and I think we don't talk about it enough.

But then… there is the joy.

The tiny hands reaching for a new sibling.
The wonder in his eyes.
The way he already seems to know that something incredibly special has arrived.
The beginning of a relationship that will grow and change for a lifetime.

Parenthood asks us to hold so many feelings at once.

To grieve what we’re leaving behind while celebrating what’s unfolding in front of us.

And maybe that’s one of the most beautiful parts of growing a family — realizing that love doesn’t divide. It expands.

This little boy may be stepping into his new role as big brother, but he will always be their baby, too. 🤍

Sasha and his family were such a joy to photograph. They were easygoing, trusted the process, rolled with all of my random prompts, and absolutely crushed his grad session.

It was so nice meeting you all! Wishing you nothing but the best as you pursue your passions and I hope hockey continues to take you on amazing adventures.

Congratulations again, Sasha!

As I drove to Jackie & Glenn's ceremony, I got full-body goosebumps when Rewrite the Stars by James Arthur & Anne-Marie started playing. The song speaks about choosing love despite the odds and believing that sometimes the most beautiful stories are the ones that were always meant to be.

I couldn't help but smile because it felt like the perfect soundtrack for the drive.

I've known Jackie for a few years, and if you've ever met her, you know she's one of the kindest, most genuine souls you'll ever come across. She has a heart that loves deeply, gives endlessly, and brings so much light to the people around her. Seeing her find someone who looks at her with so much love and admiration was incredibly special.

Some weddings are beautiful. Others stay with you long after you've packed up your camera. This was one of those days.

Jackie & Glenn, thank you for allowing me to witness and capture the beginning of this new chapter. Wishing you both a lifetime of choosing each other, rewriting the stars whenever you need to, and building a love story that's uniquely yours. 🤍

There’s something especially meaningful about photographing the milestone moments of your friends’ kids. You’ve watched them grow up from afar, known this day would eventually come, and yet it’s still hard to believe they’re old enough to be graduating.

What makes it even more special is seeing these young men grow up side by side since their elementary school days and remain such close friends throughout high school. Friendships like these are truly something to cherish, and it's been so special watching them reach this milestone together.

You’ve been raised by amazing role models, and I have no doubt that you’ll accomplish whatever you set your minds to. Congratulations, graduates—I can’t wait to see where life takes you next!
