I was literally just talking about this.
People see where I am today, but they don’t see how hard the transition was from being a ju**ie to living a sober life. When I was using, it always seemed like I had money to get high or drunk. The moment I got sober, reality hit hard. I lived cheque to cheque. I borrowed money just to get by. I got trapped in the payday loan cycle with places like Money Mart. I owed people money and felt like I was constantly trying to catch up. I rented my furniture from Easyhome because I couldn’t afford to buy any and had no credit to finance it. Even though I had a Heavy Duty Mechanic apprenticeship, I was filing for bankruptcy. I had totaled a vehicle, couldn’t get insurance, and everything seemed to be falling apart.

Getting sober didn’t magically fix my life. In many ways, it made things harder before they got better. But I kept going. Life is hard, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. If you’re struggling financially, emotionally, mentally, or in recovery, don’t give up. It takes time to rebuild. It takes work. It takes patience. Keep showing up. Keep doing the right things. One day you’ll look back and realize how far you’ve come.

Don’t quit. Your current situation is not your final destination.

New Sample Alert 🔥

Got this sample shorts and tee set in and I absolutely love it. These will definitely be making it into our next order. The shorts fit great, are comfortable, and finally I found a pair I truly love. The tee is also much lighter than our current custom-made tees, which makes it perfect for summer. The logo will be placed in its regular spot, but I wanted to get your thoughts first.

More beautiful memories created in Barren Lands First Nation. The 2026 Annual Culture Camp was filled with learning, laughter, and connection. The youth learned how to make fish, dry meat, and bannock, while many adults joined in and learned these traditional skills as well. Each evening brought activities, great conversations, lots of laughs, and unforgettable moments. It was amazing to see everyone come together, share knowledge, support one another, and celebrate culture.

Thank you to everyone who made this camp such a special experience. We leave with full hearts, new memories, and a deeper appreciation for community, culture, and tradition.

Brochet Cultural camp 2026. I’ve never been part of something like this before. Usually, I attend events as a participant, but this time I got to help behind the scenes. Seeing the amount of work, dedication, and teamwork that goes into making something like this happen was incredible. I enjoyed helping wherever I was needed and being surrounded by so many amazing people. The experience gave me a whole new appreciation for those who put these events together.

Grateful for the opportunity, the people, and the memories.

Today I’m grateful for the people I’ve met, the lessons I’ve learned, and the opportunities I’ve been given. Life isn’t perfect, but there’s always something to be thankful for. The more gratitude I practice, the more I realize how blessed I truly am.
