It’s been a hot minute since I updated this, but when the opportunity came up to get in front of .ca's camera, I couldn’t say no. It was a great reminder of how it feels to be on the other side of the lens - humbling, but so fun! I’m definitely taking that experience with me into all my future shoots.

A lot has changed over the last few years. I’ve grown quite a bit, both personally and professionally (even gained a bit of love weight, thanks 😂). You might have noticed I’ve been a bit quieter online lately, too. Maybe it comes with age, but intentionally slowing down in certain areas has given me the room to grow in others.

And yes, I am absolutely still shooting weddings! Last year, for the first time in 15 years, I didn't book any weddings in August so I could actually enjoy a summer. It was amazing. This year, I took July off to recharge and am now heading into a fully booked August with back-to-back weekends.

One shift I’ve noticed lately -and one I absolutely love - is the move toward backyard weddings. With limited venues up here in Northern BC, I’ve found that acreage, small yard, or lake property weddings are so much more unique and personal. They fuel the artist in me. So please, bring on the backyard weddings.

Off-camera, I've become a bit of an accidental carpenter and landscaper lately. Unfortunately for my free time, I've gotten really good at both 😂. Otherwise, I'm still heavy into mountain biking, skiing, patio season, and just living life.

I have an incredible backlog of photos I’ve been waiting to share, and I’ll be slowly rolling those out soon. Hope to see you in front of my lens.

Less than 30 days until I get to third-wheel these two (and their big pup!) for their wedding in Smithers. Counting down the days. Here are a few favorites from our engagement session at Moore’s Meadow last year - it was the perfect backdrop and even gave us a little rain to play with. ☔️ Can’t wait to crack a few cold ones with these two and have the best 8 hours to kick off the season 📸🍻

Lights, Camera, Action. 🎬🎻

Marnie is the Artistic Director at Theatre North West, and Ken is with the Prince George Symphony Orchestra. Their New Year’s Eve wedding was the ultimate intersection of audio and visuals - a literal coming together of the arts.

The day felt personal from the start. Later in the afternoon, Marnie shared an incredible first look with all her closest friends at her home. I loved that photo with her and ALL of her girls!

From there, the production moved to the stage. With dramatic theatrical lighting providing the visuals and a room full of incredible musicians providing the audio, the whole night felt like a high-end New York City production. 🥂✨

This was my first ever NYE wedding, and I absolutely loved it. Marnie and Ken were absolutely giddy all day - their energy made it so easy to capture the magic. I loved using my work to elevate that New York Vibe - high contrast, moody, and full of theatrical soul.

Cheers to Marnie & Ken, and to a production I’ll never forget🥂

I got my film back from Mexico a few weeks ago and have been waiting for the right moment to share these.

For the first time, we skipped the all-inclusive resorts and stayed in Bucerias. Honestly? It was the best experience I’ve ever had there.

Having my lady by my side for her first trip to Mexico made it even better. We traded buffet lines for authentic street food - tacos and burritos that finally made me understand what the hype was about 🔥

The architecture, the saturated colors, the flowers, and that relentless Vitamin D… it’s a specific kind of magic.

Bucerias is a must. Documenting life on the road like this reminds me why I love what I do.

I’m looking to take on a few more destination stories this year and next - if you’re planning a wedding or elopement somewhere with this kind of light, let’s talk. 🥂

Had to switch things up and lean into something darker for Amber & Dallas’ engagement session.
Drinks and yam fries at Nancy O’s, quiet conversations at the bar, wandering hotel lobbies, and slipping through the streets of downtown PG. No posing - just moments, movement, and the kind of connection that feels best after the sun goes down🔥

From the first time we met up for beers and swapped stories, I knew I wanted to be part of their day. We hit it off instantly — just shooting the s**t and laughing like old friends. I knew I was down to third-wheel this wedding.

Backyard weddings just hit different — they fire me up more than anything. And this one? What. A. Day. Every corner was filled with charm. I could’ve spent hours just photographing the little details alone.

There was a timeline and structure, sure, but everything still felt effortless — free-flowing, playful, intentional. Add in a food truck, good beer, perfect light, and the kind of joy that doesn’t need staging… and you’ve got one hell of a celebration.

Torre & Derek, thank you❤️

Still thinking about Morgan & Brayden’s wedding last month—what a way to kick off 2025! These two poured so much heart into their day, and it all built up to one of the most epic parties I’ve ever photographed.

They braved the cold winds and rode the lifts at Sun Peaks - totally unfazed and fully in the moment. It was effortless capturing their love, and all the chaos in between.

By the end of the night, I felt like part of the crew (shoutout to their incredible friends and fam)… and yes, the open bar definitely made it easier to blend in and catch all the magic behind the scenes 🍻

As I reflect on 2024, I feel immense gratitude for a wonderful year. I hope your year was just as fulfilling. Now, with 2025 upon us, I’m filled with anticipation as it already feels like time is racing by. This year, I’m committed to bringing intentionality and abundance to my content—and to life itself.

Over the past few months, I’ve been quiet, working tirelessly behind the scenes to refine the way I serve my clients. Through this process, one realization has anchored me: creating art is when I feel most alive. It’s my true north, my greatest joy.

With a renewed focus on wedding photography, I’m excited to provide an unmatched experience for my clients—and for myself. Here’s to a year of creativity, connection, and unforgettable moments 🎉
