And… Well, just about anything else she can get into the viewfinders of her cameras. “Labels are deceiving,” she says. “Whether it’s heavy machinery, portrait work, or atmospheric marketing shots, I’m looking for the beauty in what I see and finding a way to convey how that particular beauty makes me feel.”
Lonnie’s work has been widely published and exhibit

ed across North America. She likes to describe her business as “client-friendly and service-oriented”—which means that she likes to have a lot of fun working, come in on budget and on deadline, and exceed every client’s photography and videography expectations.

It was a busy week in Prince Rupert. I was thankful to have the opportunity to document these historic moments on Ridley Island. It is wonderful to see these projects in our community. The good family supporting jobs, the investment in the infrastructure that will spin off into the community for generations to come. Small local businesses will have the opportunity to make a living, hire and thrive. With luck we will see more young entrepreneurs open up shop downtown. And our city will get more money to improve our basic infrastructure such as housing, water, sewer.

Looking to the future of Prince Rupert we have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for. I remember pulling into town 30 + years ago and thinking WOW what an absolutely stunning amazing place. Basically Hawaii of the North. Then I met the people. I was sold.

It truly is a fantastic time to live in Prince Rupert we have weathered a lot of economic storms. But this is our time to shine not just for Prince Rupert but for all of Northern British Columbia and Canada. We are going to be a major player in energy sector for our entire country.

Dang sorry to miss this. Great community event!

As long as my work is credited I usually try to look the other way when people share my images without permission or a shout out, because I understand that they want to share a scene that’s meaningful to them, but unfortunately I do sometimes have to shut down a repeat offender who steals photos without crediting the source! As a reminder, “Lonnie Wishart Photography retains copyright, and distribution rights, on all images and video.” As clearly noted on my rate card, “a $1,000 creative fee will always be charged on each image or images published without photographer permission”—and publication includes posting to social media.

I am enjoying working with the AltaGas team to showcase this project. Amazing time to live in Prince Rupert and watch it grow.

Some nice winter light. A reminder of our white march. I was out testing a new camera. Chilly but beautiful.

A lesson on looking around. It is amazing what a difference just a small change of angle makes in photography. A simple slight adjustment.

Lots of snow in March. City workers had their work cut out for them.

A lesson about timing or what. These are shots on the start of my walk. And maybe 20 mins or so later.
