Bridlehorse Workshop - Balance and Signal with Christa Miremadi

On Sunday, I had the opportunity to attend Rock n’ Star Ranch for Day 2 of “Californio Horsemanship 2 - The Art of Balance & Signal!” Workshop offered by Christa Miremadi.

Developing a California Bridle Horse requires meticulous and years long progression to develop a horse that works in self carriage without tension or bracing. The training philosophy emphasizes balance, patience, and giving the horse time to understand. It develops “signal” —the nearly invisible communication using the riders seat, weight, and very subtle rein cues.

Christa spent her time sharing what she’s learnt over the past 15 years studying the system with the students and auditors.

🐾 Tiko 🐾

SAR K9 Tiko is half of a highly trained team, working alongside his handler through countless hours of training with repetition, problem solving and trust building. When they’re not on an active search, they’re training. And when they’re done training…they train some more.

After successfully locating the source of odour, the reward is his toy — and Tiko proudly shows it off.

Tiko and his handler volunteer their time to locate missing persons in the Province of BC. Drop some 🐾 or a 🧡 below to show some love for our K9 Teams.
