It’s day 2 of non-stop rain. It reminds me of a time where I went on a wildlife photography vacation to the Khutz in the BC Coast. Yes, we willingly sat on a Kodiak boat for hours searching for wildlife in the rain…sometimes a downpour. It mainly rained during the 5 day trip. All I can say is layers and Gortex gortex….and gortex!

A day early, but happy international woman’s day!

The attempt was Corral Creek Mountain. It was a day of a lot of mud, slush, and “creek” crossings. Mother Nature decided we didn’t have enough wind. So once we made it 2 - 3km to the summit, wind gusts increased to a point where shelter was needed.

No summit on this one, but a good spring training day.

An easy day exploring day at Wapta falls. All was well, then the route home. As avalanches have been up this weekend, avalanche control 💣was conducted in Field region.

Luckily we didn’t wait long…unfortunately for CP rail, they had a longer wait, since the snow would pass onto the tracks. In all, a neat experience to watch.

A short afternoon winter hike up to Grass Pass to Fir Pine. The Boundary Pine visit always a treat, the last visit was over 10 yrs ago. The tree is about as warn out as I am.
