A magical evening with Y+R at the Sheraton Hotel.
They had a bouncy castle for adults, yummy food and drinks and snuck out at sunset for a few photos before dancing the night away.

A little summer check in ✨ A few selfies from wedding season and a little bit of what I’ve been up to this summer.
I’ve had a bad habit the last few years of working the entire season and not taking any time to enjoy it for myself.
So this year I’m making more time for gardening, drawing, solo adventures, hikes with friends and fishing with family.
I still have so many exciting days to be a part of and just wanted to say thank you again! It means so much to be a part of all of your love stories. ❤️

A surprise proposal in the rain 💍✨🤗
I’ve been a part of so many proposals but this was the first one that was also a surprise to me.
These two were visiting from another province and wanted some photos of their trip. The day of their session was calling for rain most of the day so we moved it to try and work around the bad weather. Halfway through the photos it started to rain. I suggested heading back towards the trees and he asked if we could take a few more photos at this spot since it so pretty. I asked them to walk out on the grass and when I looked, he was holding a ring box. He walked over to her, gave her an embrace, asked if the spot was okay and then got down on one knee and proposed in the pouring rain. It was romantic and beautiful and left us all crying. ❤️

The excitement of city hall elopement ✨ I photographed their engagement last year and was oh so excited when they reached out about photographing their last minute city hall elopement. They were married early in the morning by the deputy mayor then we took a few photos and they were home again in time for lunch. It was such a beautiful celebration and such a privilege to be a part of their secret. ❤️

The magic of a Bonavista elopement.

H+A were visiting from Ontario and wanted photos showcasing the incredible landscape. One of my bucket list spots on the island is the Spillars Cove/ Cable John cove and I was so excited when they decided on that spot for vows and photos. It was cold and windy but they decided to do a short hike anyways. And I’m so glad they did. They finished the evening with a warm up at the brewery with some beer and carrot cake. It was a beautiful celebration and I’m so glad I was a part of it.

If you decide to visit Newfoundland, you may end up with a sunny day like the tourism ads. Or the fog might be so thick that you can hardly see the ocean when you’re standing next to it. I was so grateful when these two embraced the bad weather and were still up for an adventure.

My first wedding of the season was a magical one. A private first look, walking each other down the aisle, homemade personal touches and so much love. It was my first time visiting North River and I hope it’s not my last ❤️
