FEAR AND, GETTING IT DONE
I was about to post a “proud of me post workout selfie” in my stories but I had too many thoughts for a one story post so a permanent location it is…
Dearest Michelle shared a post recently on “Done” and that is what rang through my head this morning on my run. My run which I have avoided then whished I didnt avoid as life happened. But im thankful for having DONE it. Its usually not the physical but rather the mental inability that keeps me from doing whats needed for my Mental well being “what a viscous cycle it is”
A month filled with sick kids
Old injuries that popped up out of no where
Seasonal depression that came smashing down like a ton of bricks ❄️
And a continuing investigation as to what the actual #% # is up with my heart rate.
Thanks to my apple watch 😏 I have been made aware of a higher than normal bpm.
No real answers from my cardiologist, was told not to fear… and was given the green light to ever so slightly push it in the red… 📈but I wont lie its been scary.
When we become parents a new fear is introduced into our lives
The fear of not being there for them.
It happens to most people as they embark on this parenting journey…
The more you have on the line, the deeper the fear sets in and finds permanent hold in your soft parent heart.
You become more cautious
You question your life choices and the impact it has on not only you but those who depend on you.
You also put the needs of the dependents above your own and circle back to “you” when life allows which btw you will never find scheduled in your calendar..
And so between the fear and the caution and the not making time for yourself you dont get it done whatever your “it” is. Life has its blips, and they say you just have to choose to get back up which is 100% true
Some people just find themselves deeper in the trenches than others. Im lucky enough to only need a few weeks to get my $ #!+ together and march on.
I hope that if you are struggling to get your “it” done that you aren’t too hard on yourself.
Be kind, have grace and take your time. Breath, give yourself a hug, smile and soon enough you will get it done
